Employee Incentive & Rewards
| In your business (game), does everyone win? If not, why not? Employee turnover is generally a lose/lose situation (which doesn’t increase prosperity). It doesn’t take too much effort to make it win/win although, it does take some thinking. The focus here is on the “Employee” section of the Balanced Scorecard and closely relates to our Inspiration, Motivation & Recognitions page. 1) Figure out the “What” you want your employees to accomplish. 2) Figure out the “How” you get them to do what you want them to do. 3) The “Why” is because it’s win/win. Outline, detail and communicate the plan. Important Considerations: • Simple, sincere “thank you” and acknowledgements are quite successful. • Each Employee’s motivational strategy is different. Employee Assessments • Link desired behaviors to Company’s Primary Aim. • Do not assume understanding—clearly communicate. • Evaluate effectiveness. |
